In order to get the latest facts for the 7,000+ readers of this web site, the 9,000+ readers of our large-format-printers.org info site and the 20,000+ readers of our other wide-format-printers.org web site, the FLAAR editors make an effort to attend as many international trade shows as possible.

We attended CeBIT (Hannover, Germany, March 2001) and have the report on " DPI (April 2001) ". At "CeBIT" saw the new Epson Stylus Pro 10000CF plus the new ColorSpan Mach 12 and the 62" Roland printer. The report on all this can now be requested. Then attended B.I.G. in May. Next are the three trade shows during September 2001 (Print '01, SGIA, then Seybold San Francisco). Reports will be issued by FLAAR and available at no cost from our university.

Seven FLAAR editors attended various tradeshows during 2002. FLAAR was present at the recent IPEX in Birmingham, England and will be at Photokina (Cologne, Germany) in September.

All of this is to gather fresh factual information to add to our web pages. But most of the new material is presented in the now more than 50 different FLAAR Reports available in PDF format.

For example, at two tradeshows the same printer had hiccups. Indeed at one tradeshow it began to endlessly band, then was stopped. Several hours later the printer was still not printing.

So if you are about to decide about which printer to select, perhaps it might be a good investment to check out the FLAAR Reports first.
