Rocky Nook is a new publisher which is carried by the prestigious company O’Reilly Media. The sister German company of Rocky Nook is dpunkt.verlag.
Since I am at my main photo studio in Guatemala, Central America, I don’t have all the books here, but I remember:
Sascha Steinhoff Scanning Negatives and Slides
Cyrill Harnischmacher Low Budget Shooting
Cyrill Harnischmacher Closeup Shooting
Brad Hinkel and Stephen Laskevitch Photoshop CS3 Photographer's Handbook
Alain Briot Mastering Landscape Photography
As time allows we will offer comments on each title. But one thing I can say, the books are professionally designed and nicely printed on quality paper. Virtually all the photographs are in color.

Fine Art Photography
Of these titles so far, my personal favorite is Alain Briot’s Mastering Landscape Photography: The Luminous-Landscape Essays.
If you are interested in fine art photography or any other kind of landscape photography, this is a book by a master photographer. You definitely should get your hands on this, and learn from his experienced eye. Composition is often neglected by photographers in their beginning years.
Being good at composition may be more important than having a fancy expensive camera.
If you have a natural born eye for composition, you are lucky.
If you have a wooden eye, you can improve by learning from books such as this, Alain Briot’s Mastering Landscape Photography: The Luminous-Landscape Essays.
